This four day course provides participants with the core competencies to both implement and audit occupational health and safety management systems that ensure they meet requirements of the current ISO and/or AS/NZS standards.
Upon successful completion of this course participants will have gained the following knowledge and skills and be able to:
- Apply occupational health and safety management principles
- Understand the terminology, intent and how to meet the requirements of ISO and/or AS/NZS standards
- Evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the occupational health and safety management system
- Organise and direct audit team members
- Gather objective evidence using interviewing, observation and sampling techniques
- Report audit findings, prepare audit reports and undertake follow-up.
Those involved in developing an OH&S management system, or those carrying out audits of occupational health and safety management systems and looking to gain formal recognition of their knowledge and experience.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Attainment and be eligible to become a Provisional OHS Management Systems Auditor under the Exemplar Global Auditor Certification Scheme. If you have Safety Auditing experience, you may be eligible to obtain Exemplar Global Auditor Certification as an OHS Auditor, Principal OHS Auditor or Lead OHS Auditor.
Activities and Assessment
