Tutor Profiles
Our tutors are active practitioners and considered experts
in their field. Many of these are or have been employed by
IANZ or Telarc SAI, while others are recognised experts from
commerce and industry. They have been chosen for their knowledge
and ability to train others. All have been assessed for their
ability to prepare and deliver courses that are relevant to
today’s businesses.

Greg Williams - General Manager

Greg Williams is
General Manager of the New Zealand Quality College.
Greg previously worked for SAI Global, first as a senior
auditor then as General Manager New Zealand. Prior to
that, Greg was Quality Assurance Manager with Nylex
New Zealand Limited and Chief Chemist with Nylex Fletcher
Limited. He has a BSc, MSc (Hons) and a PhD in Chemistry
from the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Business
Studies (Accounting and Finance) and a Diploma in Social
Sciences (Economics) from Massey University. |

| Dr.
John Bryden |
 |
John
Bryden has been a Client Manager with Telarc SAI since
February 2005. He has skills as a quality, environmental
and food safety auditor. Prior to joining Telarc SAI
he was with a recognized international Certification
Body where he worked in New Zealand as well as China,
India and Sri Lanka. He has extensive experience in
tutoring, having been a University lecturer for some
time following graduation.
John
has experience in tutoring for quality, environmental
and food safety and is registered as a tutor with the
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health organisation.
Having also worked in a range of industries he has both
the theoretical and practical approach to problems and
uses these to their best advantage in delivering course
material. |
| Robert
Crowe |

Robert
Crowe has worked in the senior management roles in the
private sector for over 15 years. He holds a Masters
Degree in Business and has extensive management experience
in production, business development, project management
and the management of quality and environmental systems.
Robert specialises in the delivery of environmental
and quality systems training and development of management
systems from inception to external certification utilising
his project management and broad business expertise
in these areas to develop inclusive systems involving
operational needs, risk management, compliance, management
commitment and client needs.
He also has extensive experience with the conduct of
management systems auditing, the development and management
of audit schedules and the training of internal audit
teams. |
| Richard
Saul |

Richard
Saul is a Telarc SAI Limited Client Manager. He has
been involved in the development and implementation
of Quality Management Systems, both in the public and
private sector, for over ten years. Richard is a graduate
of the University of Auckland and holds both a Graduate
Diploma in Quality Management, and a Master of Management
degree. |

Schofield |

B.A.
(Hons) Geography, Lead Auditor.
Andrew has been consulting, training and auditing internationally
for over fifteen years. He specialises in the development
and auditing of management systems to Standards including
ISO9001 for Quality and ISO 14001 for Environment. As
a RABQSA registered Lead Auditor of both Environmental
and Quality Management Systems, Andrew has performed
audits for clients in industry sectors including mining,
telecommunications, printing and packaging and public
utilities.
Based
in Sydney, Australia, Andrew is the Director of his
own Registered Training Organisation, ANDSAM TRAINING,
specialising in management systems auditor training.
He has extensive experience of the design and delivery
of training programmes and is a recognised lead presenter
of RABQSA recognised Environmental and Quality Management
Systems Auditor training courses. He holds the Certificate
IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104.

| Alan Sheath |

Alan
has been a Client Manager with Telarc SAI Limited since
1993, and has particular skills in the assessment of
chemical companies, roading construction and District
and Regional Councils. He has experience as an Operations
Manager responsible for manufacturing, procurement,
scheduling / planning and Health and Safety, and as
a Technical Manager responsible for research and development,
quality control and quality assurance. |

Woolley |

John
Woolley has extensive experience in setting up and providing
training in food safety programmes. He has been involved
with develping and adapting the HACCP technique in New
Zealand since the early 1980's. |

| Barry
Ashcroft |
 |
Barry
has a Masters degree (with Honours) in Chemistry. On
graduation he joined the NZ Ministry of Agriculture
and Fisheries (Dairy Division) and later the Leatherhead
Food Research Association in the UK. In 1991 he joined
the International Accreditation New Zealand (then Telarc
New Zealand) chemical, biological and dairy testing
laboratory accreditation programme as an Accreditation
Assessor, becoming Programme Manager for these programmes
in 1993.
In
1996/1997, Barry developed and commissioned the New
Zealand Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Compliance Monitoring
Programme. He is New Zealand’s
representative on the OECD Working Group on Good Laboratory
Practice, where he currently holds the office of Vice
Chair.
In
2004, Barry was appointed General Manager of IANZ’s
Accreditation Services and along with his OECD responsibilities
serves on management and technical committees
of both the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation
(ILAC) and the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation
Cooperation (APLAC).

Eveline Baker |

(PhD,
MSc, BSc Hons, GradDipEd, MRACI, C Chem.) Eveline is
a scientist whose career has a strong focus on tertiary
and industry-based education and training. Her strong
communication skills, motivational style of delivery
and ability to explain scientific and technical concepts
clearly are highly valued by participants in her presentations. |
| Louise
Calder |
 |
Louise
is the manager of the GLP Program for the National Association
of Testing Authorities (NATA) Australia. She has a Bachelor
of Science degree (Marine Science and Zoology) from
the University of Sydney and 20 years experience in
her field. |
| Robert
Glass |
 |
Rob
has been an accreditation assessor with International
Accreditation New Zealand since 2005 where much of his
work is with chemical, biological and dairy testing
laboratories. He also has involvement in assessing calibration,
applied physics and electrical testing laboratories
as well as proficiency testing providers. He acts as
a technical expert for emissions monitoring and is involved
in setting up New Zealand’s first reference material
producers’ programme. Originally from the United
Kingdom where he worked for five years in accredited
laboratories, Rob moved to New Zealand in 2003 where
he was a signatory at an accredited chemical testing
laboratory before joining IANZ. |

Hallam |

Geoff
is the Technical Development and Regulatory Affairs
Manager with International Accreditation New Zealand.
He has extensive experience with inspection and accreditation
in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His approach
is down-to-earth and practical, combining flexibility
of application with internationally accepted interpretation
of the Standards. |

Hofstra |

Anne
is the Chemical, Biological and Dairy Testing Programme
Manager for International Accreditation New Zealand.
Previous positions include Export Documentation Consultant
and Warranted Dairy Official with MAF Verification (now
New Zealand Food Safety Authority); a Food Analyst with
the New Zealand Dairy Board; and work in surface coatings
and water chemical laboratories. |

Max Robertson |

Dr
Max Robertson recently retired as General Manager Accreditation
Services, International Accreditation New Zealand. Dr
Robertson has over 25 years experience as a practitioner
and manager in commercial and government laboratories.
For several years he was a management consultant to
a variety of businesses including laboratories. He has
conducted many laboratory management and accreditation
training courses, both local and overseas. |
| Shelli Turner |

Programme Manager Medical testing
International Accreditation New Zealand
Shelli has a BSc majoring in Chemistry and a Diploma of Medical Laboratory Science with a Specialist Level in Biochemistry. She joined International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) in 2008 as the Medical Laboratory Testing Programme Manager. Previous positions include Programme Manager for Workplace and Prison Drug Testing at the Crown Research Institute ESR and 20 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist specialising in Toxicology, Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Management at the Capital and Coast District Health Board Laboratories at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals.
Shelli conducted a number of workshops on implementing Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Programmes in her previous role and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Medical Laboratory Science (NZIMLS), The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT) and is the Standards New Zealand representative on the ISO Technical Committee TC212 for the NZS/ISO 15189 standard for medical laboratory testing. |

College courses are venues in Auckland, Wellington and
Christchurch, although not all courses run at each venue.
Check the course details for venue and date options.
If you prefer, we will come to your place and deliver
the course in your own setting. The advantage of this
is you can relate the training to your own workplace
practices and involve staff in identifying improvements.
