Risk Practitioner Training Well Received
27 Sep 2021
Earlier this month, NZQC launched its new Risk Management Practitioner Course, facilitated by Andrew Schofield.
The course was developed in response to Risk Management NZ identifying a need for local training in this area which until now had only been available from overseas.
Despite being delivered in a virtual format, the course was very much ‘hands on’ as Andrew guided the participants in the use of a variety of techniques following the steps outlined in the ISO31000 Risk Management Guidelines.
With representatives from a wide range of industries and organisations, the course also provided participants with the added value of being able to share their experiences as they collaborated whilst using the tools and techniques.
The course also provided students with a takeaway Workplace Project Kit to utilize in implementing the risk management techniques in their own organizations.
Comments from participants included:
- Finding the different techniques presented for analysing risk and introduction of new tools and models very useful to enhance thinking around risk management
- The case studies were very useful
- Opportunities to apply on the spot thinking
- Developing hands-on experience
- Really well presented
Course dates for 2022 will be released very shortly.
The course will also be offered as an in-house option that can be contextualised to use the client organisation as a real-life case study for risk management activities.
